Yael Shriki is an interdisciplinary visual artist working across printmaking, book arts, installation, and design.
Her practice is rooted in memory, correspondence, and the intimate gestures through which people connect, care for one another, and leave traces of their lives behind.
Working across printmaking, book arts, photography, and installation, Yael draws from family archives, handwritten letters, photographs, and cultural traditions to explore themes of love, belonging, intimacy, and cultural inheritance. Through both personal and participatory works, she examines how acts of writing, collecting, preserving, and sharing can become gestures of connection—bridging distances between generations, communities, and strangers. Her work is guided by an interest in the emotional and material remnants of everyday life, considering how photographs, letters, heirlooms, and other personal artifacts carry memory, sustain relationships, and shape our understanding of self and place.
Yael received a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts from the University of Washington. She is currently based in Seattle, Washington.
